Local friends, mark your calendars because YOU'RE INVITED!

Saturday, April 6th from 10-6 Santa Cruz VegFest is at Cocoanut Grove at the Beach Boardwalk*.

After a couple years off due to Covid, it's back this year and with an expected 3,000+ people in attendance, it's going to be a blast!

This is a community event and it is going to take a community effort to make it a success.

Volunteers are needed and will receive FREE ADMISSION to the event as well as an exciting swag bag of vegan and cruelty free products. Reach out to vegfestsantacruz.org and share this event with all your friends and family and anyone who might be interested in volunteering (know any high schoolers looking to fulfill their graduation hours)?

Yours truly will be in attendance--come by my booth and pick up a copy of For Fork's Sake for someone you love. I'll be speaking as well.

Hope you can make it, I look forward to seeing you there!

And sincere thanks to those of you who voted for me to be a speaker at the Vegan Women Summit. I didn't make the final list, but I was honored to once again have been in the finalist round. Thanks for your support, it means a lot!

If you weren't able to make it this year, I highly recommend going or volunteering next year. It was a great event. I enjoyed speaking on helping kids eat healthier I loved meeting so many...

Happy April 1st! Go (Brazil) nuts Every month, on the first of the month, we have 4 Brazil nuts. Why? Because it gives us all the selenium we need for the MONTH. (See the study here.) T. Colin Campbell's nutritional biochemistry work on how our body uses food in natural form through thousands and thousands of metabolic reactions versus supplementation should cause us all to rethink the supplements we consume. In his book Whole, he explains the science behind the evidence that consuming a...
